Apple has partnered with Sony to offer PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users a three-month free trial of Apple TV+, its on-demand video service. This promotion, available to those with a PlayStation Network account and an Apple ID (or those willing to create one), runs until September 22, 2024.
This collaboration is not new; Apple and Sony previously teamed up during the pandemic in 2021, offering a six-month trial to PlayStation users. Typically, Apple TV+ offers new users only a one-week trial, making this extended offer particularly attractive.
Apple TV+ is known for its mainstream but high-quality TV shows, movies, and other programming. Recently, Apple TV+ received a record 72 Emmy nominations across a variety of its current programs, underscoring the platform's growing influence in the streaming industry.
To sign up for this offer, PlayStation owners need to open the Apple TV app available on their devices. For PlayStation 4, the app can be found in the TV and Video section, while PlayStation 5 users can find it in the Media Home. Users should follow the on-screen instructions to either log in with an existing Apple ID or create a new one. After the trial period, users can continue their Apple TV+ subscription for $10 per month.
Additionally, users have the option to subscribe to Apple One, a bundled service that includes several Apple offerings for a single price, providing even more value for those who enjoy multiple Apple services.
