At WWDC 2020, Apple introduced a car key feature for the Wallet app, allowing users to control their cars via iPhone or Apple Watch. While adoption has been gradual, here’s a list of cars supporting this feature as of July 5, 2024.
What is Apple Car Key?
Apple Car Key enables users to lock, unlock, and start their car through the Wallet app. The feature supports:
- Passive Entry: Auto-unlocks/locks as you approach/leave the car.
- Proximity: Unlock/start by holding your device near the car.
- Remote Access: Lock/unlock the car remotely.
- Express Mode: Use without unlocking the device.
