Surviving Last Day on Earth on iOS – My Experience with the Mod

If you've played the official version of Last Day on Earth, you know it can be pretty brutal — slow progress, constant grinding for materials, and the ever-present risk of dying and losing everything. I got fed up after losing a whole SWAT gear set to a random ambush, so I decided to give the iOS mod version a try (via TopStore), and wow, it’s a completely different experience.

Unlimited Coins, Free Crafting — Yeah, It Works

The first thing I noticed: coins were basically infinite. I bought a few random items just to test, and instead of decreasing, my coin count actually went up. Same thing with crafting — you can build anything without collecting the required resources. I put down a Rain Catcher and a Meat Dryer with zero materials in my backpack.

Note: Don’t go crazy crafting unreleased items — I made that mistake and got stuck on the loading screen until I reinstalled.

No More Durability Problems

Weapons and armor don’t wear out in this version. I’ve been using the same shotgun and steel armor for hours and haven’t had to repair or replace anything. Makes long bunker runs a lot more manageable, especially if you're farming Alfa multiple times.

Skill Points Hack – Yes, You Can Max Out Instantly

You don’t have to grind levels to unlock skills. Just open the skill tree and assign points — they never run out. I maxed out stealth, crafting speed, and health boost in one sitting. It feels like cheating, but in a good way.

Bow One-Shot Kills? Surprisingly Useful

I never really used bows before, but with the mod’s instant charge + one-hit kill tweak, they’re insane. You can take down The Big One in the Red Zones without even getting close. I built a small hunting setup just for this.

Infinite Loot, Easy Base Setup

There’s a trick where you split an item stack and it duplicates. Combine that with unlimited inbox pulls, and you’re basically set for life. I built out a solid base layout in less than 15 minutes — reinforced walls, watchtower, two storage wings, and no zombies breaking through so far.

Water and Food? Never an Issue Again

Even though you still need to keep your hunger and thirst bars in check, this version gives you unlimited consumables. You can also stack water bottles and refill them easily using the Rain Catcher. Bunker Alfa is still a great place to loot, but now it’s optional, not essential.

Is It Safe to Use?

Yes. The mod runs independently of the official game. I still have the App Store version on my other device, and nothing carries over. It doesn’t mess with Game Center, so no bans or weird behavior.

Installation (iOS Only)

This version doesn’t require jailbreaking. You just go to the TopStore page and tap “GET”. That’s it. No PC or sideloading required.

I’m running it on iOS 17.5.1 on an iPhone 14 — smooth so far.

Final Thoughts – Should You Try It?

If you’re stuck in early game frustration or tired of losing progress because of one dumb mistake, the mod version completely removes those barriers. It’s not really for competitive play, but it’s amazing if you just want to build, explore, or experiment with base designs and weapons.

I’d say it’s worth it just for the blueprint unlocks alone.
