TikTok Rolls Out Group Chats and Custom Stickers: A New Way to Connect and Express

TikTok has introduced a significant update that enhances how users interact on the platform. The popular social media app now supports group chats, allowing users to create and participate in conversations with up to 32 people. This new feature is designed to make sharing and discussing videos with friends, family, and communities even more engaging.

The introduction of group chats marks a notable expansion of TikTok’s messaging capabilities. Users can now enjoy a shared viewing experience, where they can watch, comment, and react to content in real-time with others. To ensure a safe environment, group chats are restricted for users aged 13 to 15, and participants have the option to mute or block others within a chat. They can also report any inappropriate messages or chats.

In addition to group chats, TikTok has added stickers to its direct messages. Users can now create and use custom stickers through the new TikTok Stickers platform, adding a fun and personalized touch to their conversations. This feature encourages creativity and allows the community to contribute to the sticker collection.

These updates come on the heels of TikTok's recent introduction of "Sound Search," a feature that lets users find songs by singing, humming, or playing them. Although currently available only to a limited group of users, this feature is expected to roll out more broadly in the future.

To access these new features, users should ensure they have the latest version of TikTok installed on their iPhone or iPad. The app is available for free on the App Store and requires iOS 12 or later.
